OVAL- The term "ellipse" is often used interchangeably with oval, despite not being a precise synonym. The term "oblong" is often used incorrectly to describe an elongated oval or 'stadium' shape. However, in geometry, an oblong is a rectangle with unequal adjacent sides
CROSS- a geometrical figure consisting of two intersecting lines or bars, usually perpendicular to each other. The lines usually run vertically and horizontally. A cross of oblique lines, in the shape of the Latin letter X, is termed a saltire in heraldic terminology.
